A Quiet Root May Know How To Holler
The Reading Room in Dallas, TX has invited me to have a show based on my time in Iceland. The show, A Quiet Root May Know How To Holler, opens on Friday, February 11th, 2011, and includes sculpture, woven textiles, and photo collage. On Sunday, February 27th at 4 pm, there will be a reading by Philip Van Keuren of collected texts that relate to the work. The Reading Room is a project space which, through occasional readings, performances and installations, will explore the many ways in which text and image interact.
Garment Collection + Collaboration
I am currently working on a hand woven, quilted, sculptural garment collection, in collaboration with artist Natalie Northrup. More information and website forthcoming.
